The LPAZ Forum is an international gathering dedicated to reflection and transdisciplinary dialogue on islands and the Atlantic, held on the island of Santa Maria in the Azores. Since 2015, it has brought together academics, experts, and institutional partners to explore themes such as geopolitics, transport, science, environment, literature, arts, heritage, and diasporas. Rooted in Santa Maria’s historical and geostrategic legacy as a transatlantic crossroads, it serves as a platform for cooperation and knowledge creation. Le Forum LPAZ est une rencontre internationale dédiée à la réflexion et au dialogue transdisciplinaire sur les îles et l’Atlantique, organisée sur l’île de Santa Maria, aux Açores. Depuis 2015, il réunit chercheurs, experts et institutions pour explorer des thèmes tels que la géopolitique, les transports, la science, l’environnement, la littérature, les arts, le patrimoine et les diasporas. Ancré dans l’héritage géostratégique de l’île, carrefour transatlantique traditionnel, le Forum constitue une plateforme de coopération et de production de connaissances. Il approfondit la compréhension des enjeux et opportunités de l’Atlantique contemporain et souligne le rôle central des Açores dans le dialogue atlantique.
